Hello and welcome to another stonking #R3COMMN3D3D2019 post. Today I am delighted to welcome one of my favourite bloggers to share her three recommended reads with us – the lovely Zoé of Zooloo’s Book Diary. Zoés blog is all kinds of awesome so if you haven’t checked it out yet then head over there now (but make sure you come back to find out which books Zoé chose!).

So, what is #R3COMM3ND3D2019? It’s about sharing the book love. It’s a chance for authors and book bloggers to shout about three (yes, *only* three) books they love. They can be written by any author, in any genre and published in any way (traditionally, indie press or self-published). But there is a catch. All three books must have been published in 2019. To make things interesting I have added a couple of teeny, tiny rules this year which are; 1) the book must have first been published in 2019 and 2) special editions and reissues do not count. I like to keep you lovely people on your toes 😉.

Let’s find out which three books Zoé recommends…

The Haunting of Henderson Close by Catherine Cavendish
This is such a terrifying goosebumpy book! I made the mistake (or not) to read this at nighttime on my own and scare the beejesus out of me! It worked! It is creepy and just all works perfectly!!

I still hold to the fact that this book really makes me on edge! I am still creeped out thinking about it! It was macabre, dark and sadistic and I loved it!!! I think I may have issues! It really is another book to make you lock the doors and never talk to anyone EVER AGAIN.

This book had me questioning EVERYBODY even the MC!!! I loved the ‘slowness’ of this book because it really built up the tension to the explosive climax of the book! It is like a chess game, letting the pieces all move around until that ever important Checkmate.

Excellent choices, thanks Zoé. I already have two of your recommendations on my TBR and I’m definitely adding the third!

About Zoé:
Still the crazy blogger I was when I started with an equally crazy mini-me. I am still trying to inject humour into my posts and a little bit of crazy! Obsessed with books, mainly buying more than I need – but surely that’s not a bad thing!
