#R3COMM3ND3D2023 with #Bookstagrammer Louise Geoghegan (@LouiseReadsUK) #LouiseReads_UK #BookRecommendations #publishedin2023 #BookTwitter #booktwt #BookX #whattoread #damppebbles

Hello and the warmest of welcomes to damppebbles. It’s Sunday, the perfect day of the week to curl up with a good book, don’t you think? Let’s be honest, every day is a perfect day to indulge in a spot of reading. Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday – if you have a good book on the go then it’s a good day! Today also marks day twelve of this year’s #R3COMMN3D3D. Thirty three glorious books have been selected with another three coming your way today!

Joining me today to talk about all things #R3COMM3ND3D2023 is our first brilliant bookstagrammer of the year, it’s Louise Geoghegan of LouiseReads_UK. I spent a good long while perusing Louise’s gorgeous Instagram feed and I have to tell you, it’s an absolute corker! If you don’t already follow Louise over on the ‘gram then make sure that changes. You won’t regret it!

So, what is #R3COMM3ND3D2023? It’s about sharing the book love. It’s a chance for authors, book bloggers, reviewers and bookstagrammers to shout about three (yes, *only* three) books they love. They can be written by any author, in any genre and published in any way (traditionally, indie press or self-published). But there is a catch. All three books must have been published in 2023. To make things interesting there are a couple of teeny, tiny rules; 1) the book must have FIRST been published in 2023 and 2) special editions and reissues do not count. See, it wasn’t too painful. I just like to keep you lovely people on your toes 😉

Let’s find out the books Louise has chosen for us…

The Square of Sevens by Laura Shepherd-Robinson
It’s a perfect combination of historical fiction, lots of drama and a bit of magic. And what a twist at the end!
Louise’s Review of The Square of Sevens

Murder in the Family by Cara Hunter
I loved the mixed media format of TV recordings, texts, newspaper clippings and emails. It twists and turns and the surprises are still grabbing you right to the last pages!

73 Dove Street by Julie Owen Moylan
A fabulous story of three brave women and the power they have when they stand up for themselves and their friends. It’s a wonderful read!

Thank you so much, Louise. Three great additions to the #R3COMM3ND3D2023 vault. I’ve recently read Murder in the Family myself and can absolutely vouch for its five star status. I loved it too!

#R3COMM3ND3D will only run for the month of November this year so places are very limited. If you would like to take part in #R3C this year (and I would LOVE you to!) then please get your three choices in ASAP. If I’m unable to fill all 30 dates then any posts scheduled for the end of November will be brought forward and I will close the series early (but I don’t want to do that, it sounds miserable! 😂). Here are two different versions of the form if you fancy taking part.

If you’re a book blogger, bookstagrammer, reviewer or an author and you have three books published this year which you want to shout about then please complete the following form (or click this link: https://forms.gle/d6HbMLZJjEtUSm8FA)
