I am thrilled to welcome the lovely Amy Sullivan of NovelGossip to damppebbles today. Amy has kindly agreed to take part in my #R3COMM3ND3D2017 feature and I can’t wait to see what she has chosen.
#R3COMM3ND3D2017 gives authors and book bloggers the opportunity to recommend three must-read titles. There is only one catch, the book must have been published in 2017.
Enough of my wittering, here are the lovely Amy’s choices:
Sirens by Joseph Knox (Aidan Waits #1)
I was just completely blown away by this debut, it was such a unique read and Knox has such a strong voice. I fell a little bit in love with the protagonist, Aidan as well.
The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter
Slaughter is my favorite author in the world, I just loved this book. I don’t often experience a strong, emotional, visceral response in a crime novel and this book broke me. I mean that in the best possible way and think she’s the best there is.
The Seven Lives of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
This one took me by surprise, I was initially drawn to the cover but it’s SO much more than just a pretty cover. It almost read like a hugely entertaining biography but it was fictional, it was like an epic saga of one amazing woman’s life.

Awesome choices, thank you Amy. I have ‘Sirens’ and ‘The Good Daughter’ on my TBR. As for ‘The Seven Lives of Evelyn Hugo’…I’m a bit mesmerised by that cover!
