How’s your weekend going? I hope it’s been a good one so far. A very warm welcome to damppebbles today and to Sunday’s #R3COMM3ND3D2018 post. Joining me today is Nicki Richards of the fabulous Nicki’s Life of Crime. I actually made Nicki submit her three #R3COMM3ND3D2018 choices to me. Actually, ‘made’ is a bit strong. Maybe I should say ‘strongly encouraged’ instead. Nicki is always on hand with some cracking book recommendations so it seemed natural to ask her to take part in the feature.
If you’re brand new to #R3COMM3ND3D2018 then let me explain. #R3COMM3ND3D2018 is where I ask bookish types (book bloggers, authors and publishers) to share three must read titles with the rest of us. There’s a catch though, all three titles must have been published this year in 2018.
So without further ado, I’ll hand over to Nicki…
Worth Killing For by Jane Haseldine (A Julia Gooden Mystery #3)
I love this brilliant series. Jane Haseldine’s words flow from the page with ease, taking the reader into Julia’s world, making you want to invest your time in her story and leaving you emotionally drained but wanting more when you finish the book. As I said, I love this series and can’t wait to find out what Jane Haseldine has planned for Julia’s next adventure.

Her Greatest Mistake by Sarah Simpson
Opening with an intense, chilling prologue this is a spine-chilling, gripping, well-written debut psychological thriller. The characters are vivid and realistic and the twists and turns really keep the reader guessing. Very well written debut thriller.

Lying to You by Amanda Reynolds
This is a gripping, well written, page-turner that had me hooked in from beginning to end. Actually, I was enjoying this book so much, I wanted to stay up and finish it last night but my poor old eyes had other ideas. Well worth more than five stars, this is definitely going to be one of my favourite books of this year.

I have been collecting Nancy Drew books since I was 13 and have a collection of well over 400 Nancy Drew books. I love reading and sharing books I enjoy with other readers. My little blog might be basic but I am rather proud of it. [I love it too, Nicki!]
