Hello and the warmest of welcomes to the blog today. I hope you have a fabulously bookish Wednesday! Today I am delighted to welcome another awesome book blogger to share the #R3COMM3ND3D2019 book love. My guest today is the very lovely Rae of Rae Reads. Rae’s blog is absolutely brilliant and you’re really missing out if you’re not following her reviews.
So, what is #R3COMM3ND3D2019? It’s about sharing the book love. It’s a chance for authors and book bloggers to shout about three (yes, *only* three) books they love. They can be written by any author, in any genre and published in any way (traditionally, indie press or self-published). But there is a catch. All three books must have been published in 2019. To make things interesting I have added a couple of teeny, tiny rules this year which are; 1) the book must have first been published in 2019 and 2) special editions and reissues do not count. I like to keep you lovely people on your toes 😉.
Here are the three books Rae chose…
The Whisper Man by Alex North
Alex North has created such a cleverly crafted story one that with every page just got better and better! There was also an emotional side that I have to say blindsided me. I admit there were tears and I think this just goes to show how involved I became in the story!

The Taking of Annie Thorne by C.J. Tudor
Be prepared for surprises, twists and characters that will make you experience various emotions. There is a such a wonderful creepy undercurrent running throughout that made the story even more compelling! Loved it!

Death and Other Happy Endings by Melanie Cantor
Sometimes I pick a book up and everything just works perfectly for me from the story to the characters and I can safely say that this book is one of them! The main character goes on quite a journey and I loved being right there with her. It is such a warm, witty and uplifting story!

Thanks for your brilliant recommendations, Rae. It always makes me smile when books I love make an appearance on #R3COMM3ND3D.

About Rae:
My name is Rachel or if you like you can call me Rae. I’m married with two children and they definitely keep me busy!
When I’m not reading I lose myself in tv shows. I also attempt to knit, cross stitch and like to walk (although not too far) 😉😂

Don’t! It was hard enough narrowing it down to these three. The historical romance will have to wait for my top picks of 2019 list 🤣 xx
