Hello bookish friends and welcome to a brand new week on damppebbles. I have a whole host of brilliant #R3COMM3ND3D2020 recommendations for you this week and kicking the week off is the lovely Ceri of Ceri’s Little Blog. Ceri’s blog is fantastic so if you don’t already follow her, head on over and hit the follow button!

So, what is #R3COMM3ND3D2020? It’s about sharing the book love. It’s a chance for authors, book bloggers and bookstagrammers to shout about three (yes, *only* three) books they love. They can be written by any author, in any genre and published in any way (traditionally, indie press or self-published). But there is a catch. All three books must have been published in 2020. To make things interesting I have added a couple of teeny, tiny rules this year which are; 1) the book must have first been published in 2020 and 2) special editions and reissues do not count. I like to keep you lovely people on your toes. 😉

Here are the three books Ceri recommends…

With or Without You by Drew Davies
It is uplifting and heartbreaking all at once. It is original and beautifully crafted. It will make you laugh and cry, and the characters will stay with you.

The Child Who Never Was by Jane Renshaw
It is dark and gripping. There are many twists & developments to keep you hooked and guessing. It was a book that gave me a real hangover and I still think about now, months afterwards.

An Almost Perfect Holiday by Lucy Diamond
It is cleverly crafted domestic drama. The plot is somewhat complex with lots of characters and storylines to follow, but it is still an easy read to due to the writer’s skill and organisation.
