#TopTenTuesday | 10th February 2026: Ten Books I Hope to Read From My Own Shelf this Year #Top10Tuesday #bookblogger #bookish #amreading #TTT #BookTwitter #booktwt #BookSky #damppebbles

Hello and a very warm welcome to damppebbles. It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday post. I’ve decided to take part in That Artsy Reader Girl’s Top Ten Tuesday meme to mix things up a little here at damppebbles. Add a little bit of variety to our bookish weeks.

The meme was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish but has lived with Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl since January 2018. It was created to encompass a love of books, of lists and to bring readers together. If you would also like to take part then you’re very welcome: the more, the merrier. Just make sure you link back to Jana’s post every week. If you don’t have a blog, then no problem, just add your list to the comments below.

This week’s theme is a Love/Valentine’s Freebie. Always a tough one for me as I don’t tend to read a lot of romance, books with hearts, pink spredged books etc. I could tell you about books or authors I love, but I feel we’ve done that many times before. So I’m completely changing my theme this week. I’m pretty sure I saw this on a fellow blogger’s blog in the last month but I cannot find it anywhere! This week I am going with Ten Books I Hope to Read From My Own Shelf This Year. I thought I had seen this theme on someone else’s blog in the last few weeks and then Joanne at Portobello Book Blog posted it a couple of weeks ago! So if you have also used this theme in the last month or so, please let me know. It’s worth a tag! (Mystery solved! It was Eva at Novel Deelights. Thanks to both Joanne and Eva for inspiring this post. Hope you don’t mind me nicking the idea 🤣)

1. Not Quite Dead by Holly Jackson

2. The Narrows by Ronald Malfi

3. Itch by Gemma Amor
(Oh look! A pink book for Valentine’s Day! 🤭)

4. Murder at Mt. Fuji by Shizuko Natsuki
(More pink!)

5. Good Bad Girl by Alice Feeney
(I honestly didn’t plan this! It’s a fluke 😂)

6. Tall Oaks by Chris Whitaker

7. Mrs March by Viginia Feito

8. When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy

9. IT by Stephen King

10. The Unworthy by Agustina Bazterrica

Quite heavy on the horror (and the pink/red covers, which I promise I didn’t plan!). I’m very keen to read all of these books this year so please keep your fingers crossed for me. How did you get on with this week’s theme (and am I the only one who didn’t come up with a love related topic?)? Have you read any of these books? Are you taking part in Top Ten Tuesday this week? Let me know in the comments.

So there we have it! If you fancy joining in next week then head on over to That Artsy Reader Girl’s blog to find out what the next theme is!
