#TopTenTuesday | 10th March 2026: Book Titles Featuring Ordinal Numbers #Top10Tuesday #bookblogger #bookish #amreading #TTT #BookTwitter #booktwt #BookSky #damppebbles

Hello and a very warm welcome to damppebbles. It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday post. I’ve decided to take part in That Artsy Reader Girl’s Top Ten Tuesday meme to mix things up a little here at damppebbles. Add a little bit of variety to our bookish weeks.

The meme was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish but has lived with Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl since January 2018. It was created to encompass a love of books, of lists and to bring readers together. If you would also like to take part then you’re very welcome: the more, the merrier. Just make sure you link back to Jana’s post every week. If you don’t have a blog, then no problem, just add your list to the comments below.

This week’s theme is Book Titles Featuring Ordinal Numbers (ordinal numbers are numbers that define an item’s place in a series. For example: first, second, third, fourth, tenth, fourteenth, thirty-third, one hundredth, etc. Submitted by Joanne @ Portobello Book Blog). I’ve done a similar post to this in the past where I featured books with a number in the title (amazingly, I found books on my shelves with numbers from 10 down to 1! Personally, I was impressed 🤭🤣). I’ve also posted a list where the title included either the word FIRST or FINAL (I’ll try and avoid including any of those books — feels like cheating!). It seems to be a crime fiction *thing* to include a number so I’m hoping this is going to be fairly simple. But we shall see….

1. FIRST Date by Gemma Amor

2. Always the FIRST to Die by R.J. Jacobs

3. The FOURTH Monkey by J.D. Barker

4. The FOURTEENTH Letter by Claire Evans

5. The SIXTH Lie by Sarah Ward

6. The SEVENTH Victim by Michael Wood

7. The 13TH Girl by N.V. Peacock

No. It’s no good. I can’t find any more books on my shelf with an ordinal number so I’m going to include a few from my FIRST and FINAL post 🙈

8. The FIRST Day of Spring by Nancy Tucker

9. Good Girls Die FIRST by Kathryn Foxfield

10. FIRST Lie Wins by Ashley Elston

That was a lot tougher than I initially thought it would be. Finding titles with numbers for my post in August was SO easy. Finding ordinal numbers, not so much! How did you find today’s theme? Have you read any of these books? Are you taking part in Top Ten Tuesday this week? Let me know in the comments.

So there we have it! If you fancy joining in next week then head on over to That Artsy Reader Girl’s blog to find out what the next theme is!
