#TopTenTuesday | 24th February 2026: Books I LOVED with Fewer than 2000 Ratings on Goodreads #Top10Tuesday #bookblogger #bookish #amreading #TTT #BookTwitter #booktwt #BookSky #damppebbles

Hello and a very warm welcome to damppebbles. It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday post. I’ve decided to take part in That Artsy Reader Girl’s Top Ten Tuesday meme to mix things up a little here at damppebbles. Add a little bit of variety to our bookish weeks.

The meme was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish but has lived with Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl since January 2018. It was created to encompass a love of books, of lists and to bring readers together. If you would also like to take part then you’re very welcome: the more, the merrier. Just make sure you link back to Jana’s post every week. If you don’t have a blog, then no problem, just add your list to the comments below.

This week’s theme is Quotes From/About Books, which just isn’t going to happen. Let’s face it, I can barely remember what I read last week so asking me to recall quotes from books I read a while ago is just wasting everybody’s time. I can’t even bring any quotes about books to mind (a book a day keeps the doctor away…?). I could drop a few Shakespeare quotes I guess, or I could just swerve this theme completely 🤭. Yup, that’s what I’ll do. This week I’m going with Books I LOVED with Fewer than 2000 Goodreads Ratings from the archives. I have a funny feeling I’ve done a very similar list to this before but I couldn’t find it so I must have dreamt it!

1. Wilderness by B.E. Jones
(On Goodreads | My Review)

2. The Wrong Child by Barry Gornell
(On Goodreads | My Review)

3. Keeper by Johana Gustawsson
(On Goodreads | My Review)

4. The Killing Game by James Carol
(On Goodreads | My Review)

5. Dead Man’s Prayer by Jackie Baldwin
(On Goodreads | My Review)

6. Soon by Lois Murphy
(On Goodreads | My Review)

7. Flowers for the Dead by Barbara Copperthwaite
(On Goodreads | My Review)

8. The Graveyard Shift by Maria Lewis
(On Goodreads | My Review)

9. The Good Daughter by Laure Van Rensburg
(On Goodreads | My Review)

10. The Traitors by C.A. Lynch
(On Goodreads | My Review)

So there you have it. Ten brilliant books which I thoroughly enjoyed that need more Goodreads love. I recommend them all. I loved every single one of them. And I can prove that thanks to most of these books having featured on my top books of the year list in their respective years. Have you read any of these books? Are you taking part in Top Ten Tuesday this week? Let me know in the comments.

So there we have it! If you fancy joining in next week then head on over to That Artsy Reader Girl’s blog to find out what the next theme is!
