#R3COMM3ND3D2018 with #BookBlogger Noelle Holten (@nholten40) #CrimeBookJunkie

It is my enormous pleasure to welcome you to damppebbles today and to something I have been looking forward to for MONTHS now. The return of my ‘end of the year’ feature…#R3COMM3ND3D2018! Whoop, it’s back and I’m so excited!

Over the next two months I will be sharing 171 book reviews and recommendations! Brace yourself, people! If you’ve never encountered #R3COMM3ND3D before you’re in for a treat (even if I do say so myself!). #R3COMM3ND3D is where I invite bookish folk to recommend three MUST READ TITLES. The only stipulation being, the books recommended must have been published this year in 2018. Any genre, any title provided it was published in 2018. It doesn’t have to be your three favourite reads of the year, just three books you think everyone else should read.

In what is becoming a yearly tradition (if twice can be classed as a tradition!) today I am thrilled to welcome the fabulous Noelle Holten of CrimeBookJunkie and Bookouture to damppebbles. Noelle kindly kicked the fledgeling #R3COMM3ND3D2017 off for me last year so it only seemed right and proper that she do the same this year.

I’ll stop wittering now and hand over to Noelle…

don't make a sound

Don’t Make a Sound by David Jackson (DS Nathan Cody #3)
I recommend it as it is simply PHENOMENAL. I think my review says it all.

Hydra by Matt Wesolowski (Six Stories #2)
OMG what an exceptional novel! The cross over of horror and crime fiction was seamless and sent shivers down my spine!

Well OMG- this is a domestic thriller with a mind-blowing resolution – I just raced through the pages. It has to be my favourite domestic/psych thriller of 2018 (so far!)

I’ve read two of Noelle’s recommendations and I have to say, I agree 100%. David Jackson’s DS Nathan Cody series is one of my very favourites and Matt Wesolowki’s Hydra is so, SO good. I have The Old You on my TBR and I have heard nothing but glowing, positive things about it. I can’t wait to read it!
