Hello and a very warm welcome to damppebbles. It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday post. I’ve decided to take part in That Artsy Reader Girl’s Top Ten Tuesday meme to mix things up a little here at damppebbles. Add a little bit of variety to our bookish weeks.
The meme was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish but has lived with Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl since January 2018. It was created to encompass a love of books, of lists and to bring readers together. If you would also like to take part then you’re very welcome: the more, the merrier. Just make sure you link back to Jana’s post every week. If you don’t have a blog then no problem, just add your list to the comments below.
This week’s theme is Book Covers that Give off Autumn Vibes. I love taking part in Top Ten Tuesday every week but sometimes the theme, it just doesn’t quite fit with my aesthetic (by which I mean, dark and brooding books 😂). However, this theme, I CAN DO! I can do autumny books. There must be a million crime thrillers on my shelves that give off Autumn vibes. Right….???? (🤫 If all else fails, I’m going to just go with orange covers…)
1. The God of the Woods by Liz Moore
2. The Narrows by Ronald Malfi
3. The September House by Carissa Orlando
4. Girl, Forgotten by Karin Slaughter
5. The Long Weekend by Gilly Macmillan
6. How to Survive Camping: The Man with No Shadow by Bonnie Quinn
7. Black Lake Manor by Guy Morpuss
8. A Talent for Murder by Peter Swanson
9. Flowers for the Dead by Barbara Copperthwaite
10. You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight by Kalynn Bayron
Yup, totally struggled with that one! Ended up going with mostly orange covers, misty landscapes and the odd bare tree! I thought it would be fairly easy but I was very, very wrong. I found more summery covers than autumn. Who’d have thought.
Have you read any of these books? What’s your favourite cover with an Autumn vibe? Can I steal it for next year? 🤣 (I’m joking.) Are you taking part in Top Ten Tuesday this week? Let me know in the comments.
So there we have it! If you fancy joining in next week then head on over to That Artsy Reader Girl’s blog to find out what the next topic is!

Ha, ha, I think you did okay with this week’s theme.
I didn’t take it too straight forward either. Here’s a link to my TTT post

I think The September House wins it for the title and its cover vibe.

I loved “You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight” because it gave me all those 90ies horror movies vibes. Also the cover is kinda great. 😀 Awesome list!

Looks like you might be reading a lot of haunted house stories this season? Or at least places with creepy houses 🤔I like the cover for How to Survive Camping! Here’s my TTT.

It’s funny how fall seems to be when there’s more fog and misty skies.

I read mystery/thriller books all year round, but Fall definitely seems like the perfect season for them. You managed to find some great covers!
Happy TTT!
