Hello and a very warm welcome to damppebbles. It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday post. I’ve decided to take part in That Artsy Reader Girl’s Top Ten Tuesday meme to mix things up a little here at damppebbles. Add a little bit of variety to our bookish weeks.

The meme was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish but has lived with Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl since January 2018. It was created to encompass a love of books, of lists and to bring readers together. If you would also like to take part then you’re very welcome: the more, the merrier. This week’s theme is Books With Nationalities In The Title (e.g. The French Lieutenant’s Woman, Mexican Gothic, An American Marriage, etc.) Submitted by Cathy @ WhatCathyReadNext. I tried my best. I did! I thought I would give this theme a go. Partly because I was lulled into a false sense of security by having read one of the examples (Mexican Gothic). And…. that’s about as far as I got. Mexican Gothic plus a book called Cuban Heel by Leopold Borstinski. There were no other options on my read or to-be-read shelf. So I think I’m going to have to swerve this week’s theme (but not through lack of trying!!). Instead, I’m going with Books with Time-Related Titles…

I tried. It was never going to happen though. I hope this ‘completely different, not-related at all’ post makes up for the fact I once again had to go in a different direction this week 😂.
